This program ensures our manufacturing processes align with our ethical values and stakeholder expectations. Key components include our Suppliers registering on SEDEX, which helps manage and assess risks concerning labour rights, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics, and annual independent audits of our suppliers to maintain continuous compliance with our standards.
We address any non-compliances by developing corrective action plans and conducting follow-up audits to ensure issues are resolved. We are committed to continuous improvement and plan to extend our Social Compliance Program to our fabric mills within the next 12 months to ensure our entire product manufacturing process meets our stringent ethical standards.
Our manufacturing supplier is registered on SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), a global platform that enables us to manage and assess risks concerning labour rights, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics. SEDEX provides a standardised methodology for evaluating compliance and enhancing transparency within our supply chain.
To maintain continuous compliance with our ethical standards, our supplier must undergo an independent ethical audit every 12 months. These audits are critical for assessing supplier adherence to our Supplier Code of Conduct and identifying areas for improvement.
When audits reveal non-compliances, we work closely with our manufacturing supplier to develop and implement corrective action plans. Our goal is not only to address immediate issues but also to foster improvements that prevent future non-compliances. Our Supplier is given specific timelines to rectify any issues, and follow-up audits are conducted to ensure compliance.
Through these practices, Lorna Jane ensures that our values are reflected not just in our products but throughout our entire supply chain. We are committed to continuous improvement and actively seek ways to enhance the effectiveness of our Social Compliance Program.
Recognising the importance of transparency and accountability at every level of our supply chain, we plan to extend our Social Compliance Program to include our fabric mills within the next 12 months. This expansion will allow us to ensure that all fabric mills will meet our stringent ethical standards.
