At Lorna Jane, we are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact by effectively managing waste generated during both the pre-use phases (both development and production).

Our supplying partner has a waste management process that is overseen by an Administration Manager, ensuring a systematic and efficient approach to recycling and waste diversion. This process undergoes monthly reviews by their Longson facilities management team to maintain high standards and continuous improvement.
Development phase: Includes fabric scraps, cuttings, samples, and faulty items from the manufacturing process.
Production phase: Involves handling transfer paper, shredded paper, paper tubes, sewing thread barrels, and plastic film.
Each type of waste is separately tracked and recorded on a waste stream basis, ensuring precise measurement of the waste generated and diverted from landfill. The collected waste is then sold to Ningbo Co-op Renewable Resources Technology Co Ltd., which processes it into new materials, such as protective blankets for furniture protection and engineering construction.
At Lorna Jane, we are committed to designing for longevity, focused on creating products that last longer, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimising waste.
